Journey along the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road, where you can stop at the quaint Lake McDonald Lodge for a splash of culture before heading up to Sperry Chalet. This is just one example of how Glacier National Park blends pristine lodges with alpine chalets, preserving a heritage that kindles harmony between wildlife and humanity. Streams cascade down towering, monolithic faces, shaped over eons by ice and snow. Mystical glaciers lie shrouded within the cirques they carved, whispering the park’s timeless story.

Map

To help you make the most of your time in Glacier National Park, I’ve created a custom map to guide you. Wilderness permit locations are marked in purple, and blue markers highlight great hikes.

Tips for Using the Map:

  • Zoom in for more details: As you zoom in on an area, icons marking various points of interest will appear. Clicking these icons reveals photos, which can help you preview destinations or locate campsites.
  • Explore campsite details: Zooming in on purple markers will also reveal camp icons for drive-in sites.
  • Preview trails: Key features of trails are marked with icons—click them to see pictures in the left sidebar. Clicking a picture opens a gallery of 10 relevant images (it will close when you scroll past the last image).

Trail Tips:

Many trails in Glacier have shorter or longer variations, and I’ve included some of these options on the map for flexibility. Please note that the Swiftcurrent area at Many Glacier is closed until May 2026. You can find more details here.

Additional Resources:

I hope this map makes it simple to locate the activities that interest you most and helps you efficiently coordinate and navigate your visit.
