About Me – Jonathan Hadlock

Hi, I’m Jonathan — the guy behind AdventureJon.

I live in Vancouver, Washington, and I like to explore. I’ve always been the kind of person who wonders, “Can I do that?” So I read, I train, I try — and then I usually find myself somewhere beautiful and wild, halfway up a mountain or knee-deep in a story I didn’t know I was writing yet.

This site is a mix of my life’s curiosities — from epic trail runs and mountaineering routes, to visitor guides, to big ideas about how we teach, learn, and live together better. It’s not about being extreme or elite. It’s about being interested — in nature, in people, in what we’re capable of when we give ourselves the chance.

I believe in curiosity over certainty, in effort over ego, and in the idea that sometimes the best thing you can do is leave the trailhead and see where your feet — or your thoughts — take you.
